Wedding Reception in September

I had the pleasure of being the wedding photographer for B&B’s autumnal September wedding at the Secret Garden, Kent. Known as one of the best-kept secret venues in Kent, this private walled garden and converted victorian coach house offers an intimate setting for weddings. I loved how the gardens were meticulously planned, featuring blooming wisterias and lush green trees. I found this wedding venue perfect for photographing an outdoor wedding reception during September, showcasing the charm and seclusion of the Secret Garden.

Upon arriving at the venue for the wedding reception, I began photographing the details, including the breakfast tables, cake, flowers, decorations and personal touches carefully arranged by the events team. B&B made their grand entrance as the newly married couple, walking down the clean, cobbled driveway leading to the modern coach house. They were greeted with champagne toasts and joyous cheers. While B&B were greeting their guests, I captured a wonderful mix of documentary and natural moments with a few portraiture shots that I seamlessly organised for them. Despite it getting towards the chillier months in the year, September had the ideal weather for an outdoor reception.

The Wedding Details at the Secret Garden venue

The Secret Garden offered a delightful array of drinks, along with delicate canapés that were generously passed around. Guests enjoyed playing games scattered around the venue. The luxury wedding breakfast room was filled with personal touches chosen by B&B and perfectly arranged by the staff, which I enjoyed photographing. The elegant breakfast room became a hub of laughter and emotion before the guests made their way to the dance floor for the couple’s first dance.

Couple Portraits in the Secret Garden

We had sunny weather that allowed me to take B&B out for some couple portraits during the golden hour. With such a variety of beautiful and natural backdrops, I was able to capture several relaxed and natural couple portraits throughout different areas in the Secret Garden.
